My name is Frank Letras

I am a writer currently living in Poland where I teach English as a second language. I live with my wife and two year old son. I have been writing poetry for many years but only recently decided to have it published.

Unicorns and Dragonflies is a collection of 150 poems on a whole range of topics. The title poem takes place on an imagined planet where dragonflies and unicorns are the dominant species. They live in peaceful harmony and co-existence until the jealous humans decide to sabotage their arrangement.

Other poems in this collection include "the Dead Queen" which tells the true story of Dom Pedro I of Portugal and His lover Dona Inez de Castro. Also in the book is"The legend of Paco, the last emperor of the Incas", this tells the fictional story of an Inca boy who dreams of delivering his people from the clutches of the Spanish conquistadors, and he almost succeeds, until he is betrayed at the final hour by his own thirst for vengeance. Paco is the longest poem I have ever written.

I hope you enjoy this book half as much as I enjoyed writing it.
